Still closed to the public due to increased threat level
The terrorist threat level is now assessed as high against Sweden. After analysing the situation, the Swedish Defence University has decided to keep closed to the public until October 1. The decision applies to the university's premises in Stockholm, but does not affect the education.
All employees, students and tenants with access cards have access to the premises as usual. Visitors registered also have access.
NOTE that since the premises is closed to the public, no guests may be brought to the officers' mess.
The Swedish Defence University is monitoring developments closely and, if necessary, will take other or additional measures. A new assessment will be made on Friday September 29.
On August 17, the Swedish Security Service and the Swedish Armed Forces decided that the threat level against Sweden had increased from level 3 elevated threat to level 4 high threat on a five-point scale. The increase is not due to individual events, but the authorities point to a generally increased threat that is expected to remain over a longer period of time. The public is urged to live as usual.
