Political Psychology and Crisis Management
This course introduces you to how psychological and institutional factors can be applied to understand decision-making in crisis management.
The course is based on the fundamental assumption that insights from both psychological and institutional perspectives are needed to understand actions and positions taken during crises.
Crises often involve rapid changes in an undesirable direction or serious events with far-reaching consequences for large numbers of people or groups. The course provides a range of analytical tools that can be used to understand the interplay between psychological and institutional factors as they manifest themselves in crisis management processes.
