Engelsk beskrivning om dig själv: My research sits at the intersection of empire studies, military history and intellectual history. With a focus on the expansion and decline of the Swedish empire, I am particularly interested in narratives of power, and in the treatment of minority groups during periods of war and conflict. In other words, I am interested in how the production of knowledge within intellectual spheres (historical, scientific, cultural) is leveraged to enable and justify state expansion and violence.
