Exemption from entry requirements

If you wish to continue to the next level of your education without having passed the previous required levels, you can apply for exemption from entry requirements.

Exemption from entry requirements can only be given to those who are applying for a continuation course, supplementary course or master's course or shall continue on a programme that requires you have all credits (passed all courses) at previous levels.

Remember that the requirements can be different for different programmes and specialisations. If you are unsure if you must apply for an exemption from entry requirements, contact the Swedish Defence University's study counsellors.

Application for exemption from entry requirements

If you wish to continue your studies even though you lack the required credits, you can apply for exemption from entry requirements.

Exemptions are given only if there are good reasons, mainly medical or social. It is therefore important that you indicate your reasons and attach certificates to substantiate your application.
