Employee no longer suspected of crime against national security
The employee who was arrested in the autumn of 2023 on suspicion of gross unauthorised handling of secret information is no longer suspected of any crime.
The prosecutor has today discontinued the preliminary investigation and the employee has been eliminated from the investigation.
The preliminary investigation is still ongoing against another person, with no connection to the Swedish Defence University, and therefore the preliminary investigation secrecy is maintained.
The employee is still employed and in service at the Swedish Defence University since the detention was lifted on 13 December 2023.
