2026 Siegroth Prize awarded to Carl-Johan Ekholm
Captain Carl-Johan Ekholm has been awarded the 2026 Siegroth Prize. The prize is awarded to a military instructor at the Swedish Defence University who has demonstrated outstanding teaching skills.
Carl-Johan Ekholm is an instructor at the Swedish Naval Warfare Centre in Karlskrona.

Carl-Johan Ekholm is awarded the 2026 Siegroth Prize for his outstanding commitment to teaching, his ability to make complex subjects understandable, and his inspirational leadership.
Through creative teaching methods and a clear connection between research and practice, he has made a significant impact on the cadets and contributed to the development of the military profession.”
The prize will be presented at the Swedish Defence University’s Academic Ceremony on 26 November. In addition to the honour and a diploma, the recipient will receive SEK 20,000 and the Siegroth Medal.

About the Siegroth Prize
The Siegroth Prize is a relatively new award with a long history and tradition originating from the Royal Södermanland Regiment. The prize is awarded to military instructors who have demonstrated outstanding teaching skills.
